Sivana’s doomsday machine will go off in one hour, “killing every single living creature on Earth.” How? They don’t say, which is a tacit admission it’s oligarchic capitalism. Legends was deliberately corny, a barrel of silly fun that remains one of the most faithful comic adaptations I’ve ever seen. They were both being used in either movie or television format at the time. The show included most of the major DC characters, but Wonder Woman and Superman couldn't join the party. In the second episode, The Roast, the superheroes pay tribute to Batman and Robin in the form of a roast which even the villians attend. In the first episode, The Challenge, the superheroes must race against time to stop the diabolical supervillians' plot to destroy the world. The adventures of many of DC Comics greatest superheroes and villians.
